* Free Shipping for Life - 📦 Prepaid Label Expiration & Reissue Policy. Each Bladehub prepaid return label is valid for 90 days from the date it is created. If your label expires before you use it, we will reissue one replacement label for free as a courtesy. To maintain the integrity of the free-shipping system, if more than 6 months pass between orders, a new mail-in kit must be purchased to re-enter the Bladehub system. This ensures you receive fresh foam protection, correct packaging, and an updated prepaid label. “Free shipping forever” applies as long as the Bladehub kit system is actively used and maintained.

How do I choose the right kit size?
Choose based on how many tools you plan to send right now:
• Small Kit: 2–3 Items
• Medium Kit: 4–7 Items
• Large Kit: 8–25 Items
The only difference between kits is the capacity and per-shear rate. All kits include the same shipping benefits and core features.

Do I need to pay shipping each time?

How much does sharpening cost?
Sharpening is billed after we sharpen your tools, at the per-tool rate:
• 2-3 Shears: $25 per Shear
• 4-7 Shears: $22 per Shear
• 8-25 Shears: $18 per Shear
Clipper blades are priced separately and so not count toward shear pricing tiers.
When do I pay for sharpening?
After your kit arrives at Bladehub, we:
• Inspect and count every tool
• Prepare a sharpening quote at the per-tool rate

By purchasing a mail-in kit and sending your items, you authorize Bladehub to perform sharpening at the appropriate tier based on the number of shears received.
Once sharpening is complete, you'll be sent a secure checkout link to finalize payment. Your sharpened items ship out the next business day after payment is completed.
Do you repair tools or only sharpen?
We do both. If any tools need repair, those fees will be itemized on your secure checkout link.
How fast is turnaround once you receive my tools?
Most orders are completed in about 1–3 business days after your kit arrives, depending on workload and kit size.
Will I get updates while you have my tools?
Yes. You’ll receive updates when:
• Your kit arrives at Bladehub
• Your secure checkout link
• Your order ships back to you (with tracking)
How long is the prepaid return label valid for?
Each prepaid return label is valid for up to 90 days from the date it’s created. If it expires before you ship, contact us for one free reissue. After 6 months of inactivity, please order a new kit to restart free-shipping benefits.
What if my kit gets lost or damaged?
If your kit is damaged or lost, we can send a replacement kit—you’ll just cover the shipping to get the new kit to you. Your future return labels remain free as usual.
What if something happens to my tools in transit?
All kits include basic carrier insurance, and we photograph orders on arrival. If you need higher coverage, you can request additional insurance before shipping.
Do you sharpen every brand of scissors?
We can sharpen almost all professional grooming and stylist shears. If we see something unusual or risky, we’ll contact you before sharpening.
Do you ask for approval before doing repairs?
For professional turnaround, repairs are done automatically at our published repair tiers ($5 - $15). These are only performed when genuinely needed to return your tool to safe, correct working condition. No unnecessary repairs are ever added.
If we cannot safely repair a tool, we will return it unsharpened at no charge.

Depending in the tier:

Can I use my own box instead of ordering a Bladehub kit?
Yes. If you’d rather not order a Bladehub Mail-In Kit, you can ship your own box. You’ll be responsible for insurance, packing and paying shipping to us, and return shipping will be added to your invoice. You won’t receive a free kit or prepaid label for future orders with this option.
For best protection and long-term value, we recommend the Bladehub Mail-In Kit.
